Is there a Prince rumor out there that you heard that you actually think there is some truth to?

For me that situation in that one book Prince: Purple Reign when it said in the South Beach nightclub that female fan coming up to him and saying "I really like your new album" and he was like "And your point would be?"

I can see him being like that. It must get sicking with people coming up to you all the time when you just want to relax and people watch.

When Prince was in the UK on the Lovesexy tour one of the tabloids ran a story that he used to get his driver to take him to a graveyard in the middle of the night. While there he would put bees in his mouth and keep them there for several minutes.
He's apparently quoted as saying "it's all about mind control".

I heard a rumor that Wendy & Lisa(among many others) wanted to steerhead a serious campaign to bring back the founding members of The Revolution and do another Prince & The Revolution Lp. The dirt is that apparently Prince said he would agree to assemble the band again on one term. Wendy & Lisa denounce their lesbianism and become a Jehovas Witness!

I really don't believe this story. The idea of it being true would mean that Prince wasn't as cutting edge and or open minded as he led the world to believe.
Plus Prince is black and extremely intelligent. Black people who have racist values....well that's just plain stupid. Intelligent people don't make those kind of comments unless they have a personal binding stake in the matter. Examples: Jerry Fallwell? I don't know how to spell his name....and that's a good thing or the Pope. They thrive off of fear and a askewed male set of standards for living. They are busy defending their versions of a God I like to call call control. They make their money on people who believe that sensational moral propaganda.

Basically I'm just saying that Prince is far too smart and progressive to have said that kind of comment. Let's hope!

Actually I think that one might be true. That was part of an article in which Wendy participated and she said at one point that he would only reunite with them if she denounced her homosexuality. I don't remember her saying he wanted them all to become JWs but that was a quote from her. Even still, u can't believe everything u read and this may still be incorrect information, but I have a feeling it is true. Even if he did say it he has changed his mind because he played with her on the Tavis Smiley show and Prince, Wendy & Lisa are supposedly working on new music together. Hmmm, I guess alllll those women - even including up till Mayte - all CHOSE to all dress exactly the way they did (i.e.: like tramps), wear their makeup troweled on at all times like they did (ask Carmen about that...), and now Mani must fall into his JW mentality of "woman subjugated to man" or whatever the correct phrase is.

And yeah, unlike the Pope and Jerry Fallwell, Prince also never preached "The Truth" to anybody in a holier than thou manner at concerts, or thru any lyrics or anything, therefore proving he doesn't "defend" or promote any specific religious dogma or beliefs. and yeah it wasn't Prince who made the statement at some concert or performance that if you didn't wanna know about the Truth or believe in the one true God (Jehovah) or whatever it was he said specifically, that he "didn't want to know you" or "didn't want to talk to you" or something?

Have any opinion you want on Jerry Fallwell or the Pope or anybody else you want, but don't be delusional and deny Prince doesn't act the same damn way his own self..either directly or indirectly.

As for him saying that about Wendy and Lisa - I believe he said it. didn't everybody surrounding these last years, bandwise at least, become JW? Isn't Paisley Park now *run by* JWs or at least in some affiliation with them, to the point where anyone wanting to use the recording facilities there are required to adhere to a certain set of rules about WHAT they are recording (like language or content of the music.)? I thought I'd read that about PP being under new management that was somehow connected to the JW church. If that stuff is true, why wouldn't he ask (demand) the same from Wendy & Lisa if he's going to work closely with them?
