Prince and "Star Wars"

Has Prince ever referenced "Star Wars" in any way, shape or form? I can't think of any.

I think that Prince hasn't watched those movies. They don't seem to be his style.

In the song "Signs'o'the Times it mentions star wars.
The line as follows:
"Baby make a speech, Star Wars fly, ..."

That is the only reference I could think of right now.

I think that was refering 2 Reagan's Idea of a "Star Wars" where they would have a sattelite system in space that would destroy nukes aimed at the United States. Needless 2 say, the idea did not "fly" with congress.

For soem reason I always associate the 2 - In Jedi Mark Hamill sometimes looks alot like Prince.

If anybody has the PS1 game Star Wars: Masters of Terra Karsi )or what ever its called) - there is a screenshot of Luke Skywalker and that looks JUST LIKE Prince

I thought I was the only one. There are tons of B&W pics of prince where the light catches his eyes, and it's like mark hamill.

He sampled the noise of the doors from the 60s series when he made "Elephant Box" with Ingrid Chavez.

I'm not quite sure I get it, but...

SL: Quick music question: Why did you decide to make "Betcha By Golly Wow!" the first single from Emancipation? Why did you want to do a cover?

TA: I don't believe in singles. The singles market has changed. I am trying to get to the old days of releasing albums at will, like Star Wars coming out again.

If that quote above says anything its that Prince might admire George Lucas for his business sense.

The buhdistic lessons Star Wars has to offer certainly couldnt hurt his already pacifistic outlook.

So maybe he would dig them if he saw the bigger themes running thru them.
