Kaleidoscopeeyes, i have this info from the first source, Prince himselve did said in an interview that this song is about things that really happened, of course, there are two falsifications possible:
- One: the journalist who did this interview did 'make this up' or 'bigger' then it was
- Two: Prince himselve was 'making things up' or 'bigger' then they were.

Of course, there is no single 'truth', but i tend to believe the 'first source' here in the first place. The gossing press is:
- sometimes writing down things that never happened, but sound sensational
- most of the time spice up their stories to a sensational level, taking things out of their context, writing their own 'truth' and the 'truth' the readers want to read....
- Mostly dont take contact with the persons they are writing about to verify if the things they are writing down are.....erm...'true'

Thats why i consider first sources and, in my view reliable second sources, delivering more valid information then the gossip-press, who are in a totally different 'niche' of 'journalism'
