Did I stumble on a rare CD?

Ok, so the only reason I'm bringing this up is because I have never seen, nor heard of this CD before, nor is it available on Amazon.com, nor have I seen it for auction on Ebay.

While browsing through some CDs at a local CD store (A fairly major one, it has several large outlets throughout Western Canada), I found a Greatest Romance Ever Sold single. The thing is, it was a maxi-single. It came in a jewel case, not a cardboard envelope, but the front looks the same.

The back also has the same picture as the single, but whereas the first single said the album was coming soon, this one says in stores now. I am 100% confident this is not a boot. Anyways, this may not be anything special, but I don't recall seeing any information on this anywhere.

Here is the track listing:

1. radio edit (featuring eve)
2. neptunes remix edit (featuring q-tip)
3. adam & eve remix (featuring eve)
4. album version
5. jason nevins remix edit
6. neptunes extended remix (featuring q-tip)
7. jason nevins extended remix
8 original radio edit.

So what do you all think?

thanks for the help smile

This was available at most record store retailers. I saw a copy at Sam Goody/Musicland shortly before Rave was released. It was an official Arista release so I'm not sure its rare.

I paid $9.39 CAN plus 7% tax. On a related note, I've only seen two of them, and my bro-in-law has the other.

Thanks classic. What kind of numbers have it on the org, I wonder? It got me wondering, because usually amazon.com has releases up on their site, even if they're not selling them. They even have the german edition of the single for sale up there, as well as the US and AUS versions I think, so I was wondering why this one wasn't on the site. whatevs.

I have it too
It was widely imported into the UK when rave came out, so I don't think it's very rare.

It was very easy to get hold of in 2000, but I'm almost certain it's now deleted. So 'how rare it it' will depend on how many copies actually got sold, and how many people who don't have it, want it badly enough.
