Prince and Joni Mitchell

Considering the fact that Joni Mitchell has been at a couple of 3121 parties..and the fact that Joni Mitchell has been a musical inspiration to Prince..what do you think a Prince/Joni Mitchell collaboration would be like?

joni, stevie and prince have been hanging out a lot, i've noticed...how hot would it be if they were all over his next album? even if the results were less than stellar, the idea of a prince album with lots of stevie and joni input would be just plain eyepop

That would be cool. Even cooler is if all 3 were on each of each others upcoming albums...just a little piece in time and history and music making. Not sure why P doesn't work with more of his "class" as it seems that when he works with the younger generation crap comes out (though a collab between P and Andre I think would actually be good for both of them)

Could you describe that song. Never heard of it. Is that an old collab bet P and Stevie?

i dont think they should sing together.
One should play guitar for the other.
Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!

The thought of Joni hangin' out on Prince's couch is almost too much for me...damn,someone call an ambulance!!!

I hope some off her colour rubs off into Prince's music again.

although i love Prince's 1/2 cover of Joni's 'A Case of You', I really wish that he had sung the whole thing. The lyrics are so personal. A wonderful version by Prince, made even more beautiful since he is talking about his father. I love that song more for another reason, it proves to me that Prince is willing to allow 'the words of another' speak for him. Especially such a personal matter like the dedication to JOhn L.

I agree! I think it's a fantastic idea. nod

Even my mom, who is a huge Joni fan, but only sort of likes a song or two by Prince thinks it's a good idea to put those two together in a studio.
