The story was something like Prince refused to perform at a concert when he learned a Ronald McDonald clown was in the building. He said he wouldn't play til the clown was gone.

I hate to say it, but this is the one thing about Prince I hate. As much as I love him, it hurts to know that if I was to stare at him or try to say "hello" a bodyguard of would yell at me, if not push me to the ground.

nod

This incident reminds me of the song 'Silver Tongue' written by Nikka Costa, sang by Prince. Imagine being so close to Prince that you could speak but being too afraid to. If in a different circumstance the singer really wanted to meet a person this perception of fear could prevent it.

I think Prince acts like such an asshole to his fans because he has some of the nuttiest ones in showbiz. Seriously, he has more stalkers than a horror film.

I try to judge Prince by his music, but, as much as I try I still sometimes dream that we could be friends. In reality, MOST stars are sooooo removed from the world we live in, we probably wouldn't really dig em in person. Our Purple buddy probably falls in that category. So enjoy the music, be inspired by it, funk to it but remember that the music is all we should judge Prince by or you probably won't be satisfied. sad

Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!
