but I made a promise to a friend lover brother father/husband that I will see it with him...

i've seen it too many damn times. it came on vh1 last night and the day before it too. I also have the original release on dvd, and the special 20 year anniversary edition on dvd, so thats two of the same movies on two different dvd's plus a vhs copy that i had to replace to my mom when i was 13 when i broke the first vhs copy of purple rain in our vcr. you get the picture right?

Funny my Mom called me last night to tell me it was on. I was all ready checking it out. We watched for a couple of minutes. It's hilarious. I miss The TIME.

PR and Star Wars are probably my most viewed.

Wayyyy too many to count, i just got the 20th anniversary 2 disc dvd in November, and i dont think it's left my DVD player since .... Is any1 else in love with Prince's Computer Blue/Darling Nikki performace... ooooo mannnn

I refuse to watch it whenever it gets aired on VH1 or BET. It's just not the same without the cussin' and boobies.

Hecka... no way to know... Was a huge P fan when it came out so there's no telling how many times I've seen it over the years...

Ive never watched the whole thing through. Ive sat down to watch it 3 times. I really cant stand watching Prince on the screen (even some of his videos make me cringe)... Ive seen Parade once and GB ive never even tried to watch...

I'll stick with the cd's, vinyl and tape and leave the visual senses for the concerts...

502 times. still have my tape i recorded off showtime back in the 80s, i couldn't have been more than 5 yrs old when it was recorded. just watched the workprint of it today, it was interesting to see it w/o background music and some extended scenes.

The first time I "saw" it it doesn't count. I came a year late to the party and didn't became a fan until 85. I hadn't seen the movie when it came out and rented it on video. The only problem was that the tape they gave me was Betamax and the VCR we rented was VHS. Damn if I didn't try to make the thing work anyway. The next day, I got it on the right tape format and my Prince fandom grew exponentially from there.

Twice in theatres, when it came out.

Before the first dvd came out, I must have caught it on tv once or twice, but did not watch the whole thing, so that doesn't count.

I've seen the first DVD in its entirety twice. However, I really l liked watching some of the performances individually -- but that doesn't qualify.`

I bought the 20th anniversary DVD but have yet to watch the movie in its entirety in this format.

So, about 4 times in 21 years. Which makes me a pretty sane insane Prince fan.
