Isn't it about time 4 another Prince Video Collection Ok, Just wondering, why hasn't Prince released a new video collection yet?
I know we already have The Hits Collection of standard Prince Videos, also...3 Chains O' Gold, Diamonds and Pearls Collection, and of course the re-releases of Purple Rain, Under The Cherry Moon, & Graffiti Bridge, all with added bonus videos. Which is groovy and all, but how come he hasn't released a ultimate collection of visualz? Or if you could, how would you pick or what kind of video collection would you make! I've thought for a long time what a shame it is that Prince's videos have such transient lives., especially in the last decade. IIRC he has videos that have only been shown once, such as Same December and Empty Room, and a lot of videos that haven't even been shown. At best they get recorded by fans scattered around the world on VHS tape, but they really deserve better treatment, as given to his musical tracks. Please screw that first wannabe dvd release. His usual shit quality release. They need to do something like the beastie boys set that came out. Something worth actually buying, something in good quality.
Its pretty god damn sick when god damn John Mayer concert dvd completely and totally owns p's concert dvd releases(reserving judgement on the SOTT dvd from canada till it gets here). | |
