Has anyone heard recordings of the tour sofar? After hearing 'Avalanche' and 'Rollercoaster' I can't wait till the tour hits Europe.

I've heard from a realiable source that there should be a bootleg of the NYC show (all 7 hours) of exceptional quality in circulation soon. Keep your ears peeled...

P.S. please don't email or orgnote me asking about any specifics, because I don't know any. As soon as it's in circulation, I'm sure we all know.
wildsign The Mothership Connection... Funk, Soul, R&B, & Jazz every Monday night @ 8:00 p.m. Listen @ www.wqaq.com wildsign (We are off the air 4 the Summer. Returning in early September 2004)

There was a bootleg CD released of one of the Chicago shows. I didn't buy it, but it was posted on the alt.binaries.multimedia.prince newsgroup last week, so I downloaded it for free. It really had excellent quality. People are really posting a lot of great live stuff there lately, so check it out if you are into such things.

Ok, well, to make sure it's there longer than an hour, don't post the URL! Mention you know it exists, & have the address. Some overprotective fan has probably alerted Paisley Park by now & the site is likely no longer offering the show.

It's a newsgroup, not a website, so it'll be there MUCH longer than "an hour", at least!

In DC www.whur.com is playing in pretty good rotation Prince's 'Strange Relationship'. It's live and sounds recent tho they never say what show or tour it is from!

I will check out that site IrishEcho!

'R U Ready?' is definitely not a fake. It was a leftover from the 'Rave Un2 The Joy Fantastic' sessions.

I got my Chicago cd yesterday and not knowing what to expect i put it in and all i can say is that i will be playing disc one all summer long in my car. Xenaphobia bodes so well for the future. As for the band , what can i say , they are great. Ignore the haters who have accused Prince and the band of 'noodling', it seems that they just lock into a groove and let it find its own way. On hearing this i'd put them on a par with the lovesexy band, and i don't say that lightly. If i had to whine about anything it would be about the covers that Prince does, as funky and emotional as they can be why doesn't he find tracks that fit the mood from his vast back catalogue?. Damn i,m still mighty impressed. Just wish i could give PRINCE the money and not the bootymen!. I could go on but pray that this tour makes it to Europe.

and what about the second disc? I'm surprised how much I enjoy Take me with u/Raspberry Beret! The break he does during the last verse of TMWU kills and he funked up the last verse of RB!

The way everyone keeps going on about this bootleg of Chicago's concert you're making me want to get the damn thing & I have been resisting bootlegs for years. Luckily they are hard to find but this one sounds pretty damn good.

WHUR is playing a soundboard copy of Strange Relationship from the Indianapolis concert.

Personally, I'm not that impressed with the quality of the Chicago recording... particularly the low end. If you hear Rhonda's bass on the soundboard Strange Relationship I think you will understand what I am saying.

Prince needs to release these shows on CD.
