IN MEMORY OF SARTORIA

For those of you that remember the poster Sartoria, this is to let you know that he passed away from cancer a few weeks ago.
It looks like his last post was in Associated artists & people in August.

I was lucky enough to have a few conversations with him on the board and subsequently via email due to the discovery that we had a common acquaintance who knows him much better than I do. We even got together to pull off a very successful good-natured prank on this common friend.

It can be made known now that the reason he had such inside info on Prince, and the organization in general, is because he was a master tailor (hence the screen-name Sartoria) employed at various times by the organization to make some of the onstage/offstage clothing you've come to know and admire. I believe his last assignment was to produce Mike Scott's stage attire for the Musicology Tour.

This is all the information I have.
If more info becomes available, i'll certainly post it.

Sartoria, R.I.P. tombstone

That really fucking sucks. Peace to him and his family.
If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.
