For me, Purple Rain is the complete album... not a bad track on there and short enough to leave you wanting more.

I think other albums (SOTT in particular) have some better songs on, but as an album, a complete work... it's Purple Rain for me

well its my prince fav album at the moment because i only have 4 prince albums.

"PURPLE RAIN" is definately the jewel in the crown, every album from 4 U up until PR was a progression, each one better, more interesting than the previous. PURPLE RAIN was the absolute peak (IMHO) sure, SIGN O' THE TIMES is great, but doesn't give me chills like PR still does.
