How many are ignoring your in box to keep up to date on this sight??

This sight has completely taken over my work day. Although I am a newbie by most of your standards, I have loved P for20 years. My affair began when I stayed up for 3 days straight at age 14 to win Purple Rain concert tickets (I won the last pair ) So my fascination with him is not new. I occassionally lurked in this sight for years, but recently joined after the Musicology tour. I am completely distracted by P and with some of you insane people in here
I hope this is just a phase, I'm going to get fired.

I feel the same way. I have been a Prince fan for over 20 years and I delayed becoming a member of the Org until May of this year because I knew this would make my Prince obsession even worse- and it has!

I must confess I'm totally addicted. I fell in love with Prince when I was 14, during Purple Rain. After I saw 2 of his Musicology concerts, I fell in love with him all over again. I kinda lost touch with his music in the mid to late 90's, mainly Bcause I didn't know he had new CD's. I didn't know about his website, either. After the concerts, I went on the internet to look up his discography and discovered the Org! I was hooked from then on. As U can see, I've been a a member since August. I'm also a member of PrinceFams, occassionally log onto the VH1 Prince discussion board, am a member of LovesexyDC, and the NPG Music club. What can I say? I'm in love with him. I log on every day, but need 2 stop the obsession B 4 I get inot trouble at work. I don't log on at home...tthe madness has to stop somewhere.

Nope, not me. I visit this site a few times during the day, but never in the evenings and only very seldom on weekends.

At work I log on a few times a day, just checking out the news or some cool threads. I'm pretty sure that if my boss ever starts checking on my internet behaviour I'd get fired. In the course of years I have managed to contain myself a little better but still, I surf way too much time during working hours.

Also in the evening I check the Org a few times at home. You could say I'm addicted to this site and Housequake. Eversince I discovered these two sites in 1999 (or was it 2000?) I have been hooked, and they have also lit my passion for Prince again. I kinda lost him in the beginning of the 90's, but with the discovery of the Org and the release of TRC he got me back on the bandwagon.

So girlygirl, welcome here, I'm sure you will not leave anytime soon!

Wow, everybody here has the exact same story as me. Fan since 1979, second album. The last 2 or 3 albums were not my fave but I bought them. I became less hardcore for a minute. I've always loved Prince but I kind of stayed away for a while.Well I'm back.

Someone mentioned Purple Rain tix. Well I stayed overnight at a records store to get tix but in the morning I didn't make it. It was sold out by the time I got to the front of the line. I had to get them from a friend. Thank God we covered all our bases. I live in the San Francisco Bay area. He performed 6 shows I believe. They sold out in 15 minutes.

Ugh, memories.

I would never log onto the org at work. They watch out for stuff like that.

So I surf porn instead...

Dude, I don't even listen to Prince half that much anymore, but I still keep logging here. Been doing it since 1996 since the Hammer Chat / PPML days anyway, can't break a habit...
