tonight i saw the extended version of the video for America for the 1st time in like 10 years on vh-1 classics and man i almost forgot just how funky this version is...they played most of the video except for the part where Prince plays the drums...it was cool 2 see again

The Video is live. It was shot in France. There is a boot of it somewhere. I woulld like to get it!!!! Funky show!

Most channels would play it for just 3-4 minutes. But the length of it is about 8-9. It's one of my favorites. I think had this video been promoted more, the song would have made it on the charts. I think my favorite part is when Prince gets on the drums. One great hting about the video is it's energy...it's like the energizer bunny...it keeps going and going and going.

I agree with the statement that the America 12" is too long...but that's it's beauty.

I love his look in the video...the trench coat and bandana on his head covered with that bad ass big brim hat.

this was his prime, when he used to slither on the floor, masurbating with the mike stand.....yayyy!!!! wish he would at least slither on the floor once more for 2004..
