This IS really dumb.....  I mean MOST of us BIG fans have already paid a HEFTY price for the Hawii book.. and why would I wanna hang a poster up of some "baby"?? and the Tshirt is not that great either..
How about a gift box with a HOT NEW Poster of PRINCE, maybe some insense, and a CD with 12 or so of the often talked about VAULT songs that none of us have heard??? For That I would GLADLY pay $100!!!!! Or what about a DVD of one of the shows, and a Cd with 4 or 5 of his un released songs? That would be VERY sweet too..... I am dissappointed.. and altho I consider my self a BIG BIG fan I will NOT be buying this..... | |

We've been talking about this for days now over in the NPGMC forum here on the org:
Hilarious. The moderators at the club are touting the fact that the purple "hat box" makes the set "more than worth" the money.
 What the fuck kinda fanbase do they think they're marketing this shit to?Of course, on that same thread you have people defending why it's TOTALLY worth the money. And of course at the club strangely all of the comments are overwhelmingly positive - they all just LOVE that cute little anonymous white baby and can't wait to frame that poster and hang it over their toilet.
But you know, when I think about it.....I WAS in the market for a new hat box. Easter Sunday's not THAT far away!! No confusion, no tears. No enemies, no fear. No sorrow, no pain. No ball, no chain.

I guess we have a choice right...buy or don't buy. I just wish he'd put more effort into releasing...say...a Crystal Ball II, for example, or somre more live concerts on DVD and CD than putting out hats, posters, ear bling and more gobbledy gook on the npg website.

In 20 or 30 yrs from now what will this package be worth? I spend 100.00 + a trip to hawaii, I leave this to my child and he will accept this as he see fit for all I know he can toss that in the dump along with all the prince songs I own. | |

This item will be worth a lot in the future. Just because of the CDsingle !! It doesn't matter if it was available as a download, this is a pressed cdsingle, most likely not more than 1000. Real collectors will buy this one !! I WILL BUY OR TRADE YOUR USED/UNUSED PRINCE CONCERT TICKETS !!!!

The online single of 'Controversy' was in MONO! U'd think it will sound better on CD, but with Prince and his way of marketing things, u can never be too sure! It could just be the WMA file burnt on cds and u wouldn't know. Think twice! I think this is just a bait for all the new fans that consist of rich middle aged moms or something.... -----------------------------------------------------------
