The Album Survivor 2004 Edition #9 Closed

Hello Everybody...

It seems like no one was really looking 4 Graffiti Bridge this time around... The Thieves took it without question and let some elephants trample it between some flowers wink

The list shrinks and shrinks...what will the future bring us? Will Sott reign supreme or will the 20th anniversary of Purple mess that up? Maybe Parade or Rainbow Children??

Thank U all for voting and keep it up smile

Happy voting!!

Rules:

This page contains a list with album titles, U vote the album u like least off the list!! Only one album may be voted off per thread!
The thread will be active for 3 days until i start counting the votes! Then a new thread will appear with the new list !! After a few weeks we will have a new? undisputed best Prince album!!

Some Explanations: I didn't include e.p.s like The Beautiful Experience or C-Note...
I have listed The Truth as a seperate album, cuz it deserves to be recognised as such!
I Have not listed Gold Nigga & Exodus cuz thoise are NPG albums, however I did list New Power Soul cuz it's a P album in disguise
The reason I didn't include Madhouse, because they were not really P albums...They belong on a side project list.
The reason for not including the very best of is simple... we already have the Hits the B-sides on it... and 2 hits packages was just too much..

The Albums

Prince
Dirty Mind
Controversy
1999
Purple Rain
Around The World In A Day
Parade
Sign "0"The Times

Next one to go should be "The Hits/The B-Sides" since it's not even an album, just a
collection of hits and b-sides lol.

Chocolate Invasion of course. I don't understand how a vegan could ever even consider callin' an album by such name.

I have to stick with ONA piano as I play it the least out of that list.

Emancipation, crappy cover, too many insipid songs, bad covers, bad lead-single

Chocolate Invasion.

Crazy that Graffiti Bridge goes before Emancipation, Crystal Ball, The Vault, One Night Alone (Piano), One Night Alone (Live), Chocolate Invasion & Musicology - Still no accounting for taste I guess neutral

// Also, I disagree that The Hits/B-Sides should be there (because it's a Hits package of previously released material which appears on other albums - I see Girl 6 is not there), but the B-sides disc on it's own could be a worthy inclusion if this release was to be included at all, since it contains material not available on any of the other albums in this game.

Just saying is all smile

I will make it my mission in life to get the most uninspired, preachy, long-winded, boring album in Prince's canon out of here...The Rainbow Children. Die, TRC, Die!

What is wrong with you people. The Chocolate Invasion has got to go!!!!!
I second that "Prince" threat. If it goes, SOTT goes soon after. Prince is a Top 5 album.
Here's what the results should look like.

1.SOTT
2.1999
3.Purple Rain
4.Prince
5.Dirty Mind
6.Parade
7.Lovesexy
8.Controversy
9.The Rainbow Children
10.Around The World In A Day

WHAT THE HELL?? I'M GONE FOR THE WEEKEND AND U GUYS VOTE OFF ONE OF THE BEST P ALBUMS EVER? GRAFITTI BRIDGE? mad That just don't make no sense.

? of U? Joy in Repitition? We Can Funk? Thieves? TTB? Elephants and Flowers? Yeah, I could see how something like One Nite Alone, The Truth, Chocolate Invasion and Come all have way better songs ... WHATEVA! Y'ALL ARE CRAZY!

Well, now that I've vented ... my vote once again goes to ONA (Piano)

I will continue my journey to get out ONA Piano is continuing, and that's where my vote shall go.

I just don't want another accident to happen like Grafitti Bridge being voted out.

Meanwhile, someone else posted their top 10 prince albums, so I should too.

1.1999
2.Parade
3.Emancipation
4.Purple Rain
5.Sign O The Times
6.Grafitti Bridge
7.Around The World In A Day
8.Musicology
9.O{-+>
10.Crystal Ball

Kind of a screwy top 10, eh?
