Don't laugh...but I have never heard this song. How can I find it or hear it? I've been a fan for years but have not really gotten into the unreleased stuff.

search for a copy of this 12" single, flip it over to the b side. there it'll be.

It is not unreleased, just a non-album track. The 12" version was released on CD single for Letitgo and the shorter 7" flip is on the The Hits/The B-Sides 3 CD set which is very easy to find (though a little bit pricey). Both versions are great, the edit works well. As UTCM has just been released it is the song playing in the background when Christopher dances with Mary for the first time (culminating in her asking Tricky to come dance with her). It is a beautifully elegant track with Clare Fischer orchestration.

Check out http://www.clarefischer.com/ if you've always wanted to know what HE looks like. The story goes that himself and Prince have never met, they just send tapes back and forth...

Is it on Charade? No, most copies strangely enough leave this track off. It is as if Charade is actually the running order Prince chose, and not some bootlegger's concoction of some outtakes and b-sides, interspersed with official material. The order of Wendy's Parade/New Position/I Wonder U/Under The Cherry Moon obviously flows (and is segued) like the official release, and is therefore a sequence. I Wonder U is a different version from the released one, as is Love Or $. The letitgo single is not rare and therefore the cheapest way to get a CD quality copy of the full-length track.

It's not on the The Hits/The B-Sides. None of the Parade B-Sides are. "Kiss" is the only song from Parade on there.

Ah -- you're right! What a shame, because I became acquainted with the track as a 7" edit...it isn't on the B-Sides (mind is playing tricks on me)...the only CD release is letitgo, the long version...I know kiss (ext.) and some other 80s 12 inches were released on CD single, but yeah letitgo is the waytogo...
