What CD is this from??? I recently downloaded a partial rehearsal of 'Alphbet Street' from 87-88 i think. Just one song but It lasts for 30minutes or so...very loose & funky. It starts out with Prince asking the band if they've seen th 'new' Weird Al Yankovick video of 'I'm Bad'..then Prince starts talking about how popular the retro music scene is ovrseas. The tape cuts away for a second and when it comes back on, he and the band are jamming on a loosefunky version of what sounds like an early take of Alphabet Street. You can hear Prince getting into it too.."Thats funky right there, that's funky right there. Were gonna use that..."
Like i said I think it last for like 30 minutes or so. Anybody know what this from? Is it on either Lovesexy Tour Rehearsals VolI or maybe VolII? I've gotta have a clear version of this...they are jamming I tell ya'!! | |

Have you heard the entire set of Vol 1? How is the rest? Is it of similar quality as the Alphabet Street portion? (I've heard some lukewarm reviews of vol 1 but i can't remember what the complaints were) thanks again for responding | |
