Prince and the NPG to perform in Hawaii

PRINCE and The NPG will b per4ming in Hawaii:

Dec 16th Honolulu Blaisdell Arena
Dec 19th Maui Arts Center

The Members-only presale will take place Wednesday, November 26th at 2pm Hawaii Time until Thursday, November 27 at 8pm Hawaii Time in the BACKSTAGE PASS room. More details will b posted in the next couple days in the CONCERT CONNECTION forum and BACKSTAGE PASS room.

The Family Jamm is on the 13th and one of the best connections to Hawaii is through LAX... sounds like he will be in the neighbourhood when Sheila is kicking out the jams

December 16th is my birthday and I've always wanted to go to Hawaii! To go there on my birthday and to see Prince at the same time would be a dream come true! (Too bad I can't afford it...and I don't have a rich boyfriend to give me a romantic surprise trip...so I guess I'll just have to dream on!...Life sucks sometimes!). At least I got to see him last year at the Aladdin on Dec 15th (close enough I suppose!)

Wonder why he is not performing at the Waikiki Shell overlooking Diamondhead on Waikiki Beach? That is still part of the Neal S. Blaisdell complex, but Paisley opted for the Blaisdell Arena, hmmm.

What about the Pipeline Cafe? By the looks ot a great place for an after whatever.

On Maui it looks like he will be performing at the Maui Arts Center's Alexander & Baldwin Amphitheatre, which seats over 5,000 overlooking a dormant volcano. That is where Sting and Carlos Santana played, but the island has a strict 10 pm / 2200 hrs. local curfew.

Wonder if the Maui gig will start early because of the curfew or is Prince going to pay the fine as always?

Greetings from the Big Apple---tix are'nt 2 expensive from LA 2 Hawaii. I know one person who's flying out...I have a decent sized place if people need a place to crash (in Hawaii) I'll be back from my frozen holiday here in NYC and back home to Hawaii next Tuesday...Email me if anyone needs help or info on Hawaii...Blaisdale is so much better than Pipeline for his Oahu show...Pipeline is cool 4 an afterparty but that's all...Are U sure that it's not at the "Symphony Hall" on Maui like it was planned 4 last month? I'm stuck without a real computer to check my facts...Anyway-LA BUmpsquad-U gonna be out here?

I just figured that it would be the amphitheatre on Maui because of past concert acts like Sting and Santana and the like. The place seats 5,000, right?

Yeah, NPGMC was gonna schedule the symphony hall back in early November for those gigs, but if you take a look at the event listing, there are an assortment of movies being shown on 19 December.

Aslo, doesn't the hall seat 1,200? If Prince is opting for an indoor place, this place I guess will be one of his smallest gigs next to the Saginaw, Michigan gig that kicked off ONA in March 2002.

Time will tell ... wish i could be there. I was at Blaisdell for the 1997 l4oa gig. Amazing. Give me 25!

Ok-I got my 2 tix 4 Honolulu and Maui...They say Diamond tickets-first 15 rows...I guess that means standing in line...I hate doing that esp. after buying my tickets already...But what the hey-I met some really great people in LA after two days of waiting in line!!!This is gonna be the bomb U all!!!Hawaii-Let's get organized!!! Now I gotta get that plane ticket 4 Maui...

I dont think we will have assigned seats, as wishuhvn stated, we may be first come first served for seats.

check out expedia.com for hotel packages, seems that
Castle Maui Beach (Maui show) and
The Outrigger Reef(Honolulu) are both about 5 minutes away
(checked on mapquest cuz I not from Hawaii, so if anyone else knows better PLEASE fill us in)
