This week's US Weekly (April 28th with Ben and JLo on the cover) page 60 has a "Hollywood Hermits" section with various celebs featured. Prince is labled a "Hobbit Hermit!" and states "Pint-size Prince rarely leaves his Minneapolis hometown." There is also a small pic (I think it is from last year's London show arrival).

So they say Prince rarely leaves his hometown...then use a pic of him performing in London to accompany an article about how he never leaves Minneapolis...

Us Weekly has to be on of the lamest mags ever,the layout is
catered to people who have the attention span of a housefly,
I feel stupid every time I look at it,my favorite is when
they show pics of celebs grocery shopping and write "Look!!
they go shopping just like you and I!!!"

Was this written before or after he bulldozed his purple house? Who cares if Prince likes to stay home,just as long as he tours? It must be a bitch havin to read a lot a shit about yourself. I think Prince be left alone when he is touring or has a new album or movie out.

Even if it was true that he never leaves his hometown(which it's not) so what? It seems when you are a celebrity, everything you do, say, wear etc is criticized. If you're a wild bad boy like Bobby Brown or Tommy Lee, you're criticized. If you're a recluse like Prince, you're criticized. One of the reasons why i like Prince is he never played into the music industry game of putting out music that is POPular to the masses and relying on big budget videos to sell cd's. Not to take anything away from Michael Jackson and Madonna, but i've often wondered if they would be as popular as they are if they relied on their music to sell cd's and not their videos. What ever people may say about Prince, he held his own with Jacko and Madonna without making big budget videos and that says a lot.
