LaMont - those articles don't mention anything close to Nikka "ripping off" Janis Joplin. In fact, the reviews were lauding Nikka's talent.

By your standards I guess you hate Prince too for "ripping off" Little Richard and James Brown. You can hate Nikka all you want but the links you provided proved nothing to support your "ripping off" theory. In deed they proved the opposite. Every new artist is compared to those how came before by the journalists who write about them. The only question ultimately is do you dig her music? If not, then cool. But others do and their opinions are valid. Even if the links validated your point - so what. There are very few if any truely original artists these days. We can spend many hours dissecting which artist takes from who and who sounds like who, ect.

Personnaly I don't see where you get the "ripping off" idea. I can maybe see some hints of Janis in her but like those articles stated, only in a positive way. I never felt she was ripping her off as you describe. You might want to find some better sources to back up your bashing of Nikka.

It may pay to know what your talking about but it seems like you're check bounced.
