Glastonbury 2004... possibly true!

From UK news on 7th April.
"The reason he [Prince] pulled out was that his new wife Mani is now pregnant and he didn't want to leave her. He has said yes to Sunday night headline for 2004 - which is part of a World Tour planned for 20th Anniversary of Purple Rain".

There will be no such tour. Larry Graham told me personally.

If Prince did a PR 20th Anniversary Tour, doesn't that make all his comments about "If u came 2 get your Purple Rain on..." & "We're not interested in what u know but..." seem absolutely ridiculous?
But then again, Prince is a walking contradiction!

My bullshit detector just flew out the window and now I have a big hole in the glass. Can't wait to get my ticket for the PR 20th Tour to patch it up!

What's with all of the bs news about Prince lately! I guess because he has been TOTALLY quiet for a few months that people have to make up garbage. Get a life.

If you came here to get your Purple Rain on, then you're in the wrong house. Who said that?

Jeez, why can't people research anything?

How about that, huh? From the mouth of the organiser.

Research? You dug out a link that's irrelevant. So the organiser's daughter says they were in talks but it fell through due to logistics... could the logistics not be Mani pregant but unannounced? And it says nothing about him not playing 2004. In fact, the proof that they were in talks makes this news even more plausible.

But what does your 'proof' say: 'UK news' - what does that mean: was it TV, radio, newspaper, internet - which channel, wavelength, tabloid gossip column, URL? Please provide some detail.

"...a World Tour planned for 20th Anniversary of Purple Rain".

This must be some info from Fred Goaty published on the website "JazzMag".

Here is the Popbitch text, nothing about a tour, what the hell is Purple rain: the truth!!

>> Let's go crazy... <<
... Prince is back!

The Prince Revival starts here? Time Warner are
secretly re-editing and adding songs deleted from
Purple Rain, in a secret Arizona studio.

The new songs are believed to be Electric
Intercourse, Extra Lovable, These Things, Take
Me God! and The Dance Electric.

Prince seems to have cooled down from his
dispute with label Warners, and is even talking
of recording an album of 80s-style new material
ready for the cinema release of Purple Rain:
The Truth next summer.

Where this tour stuff comes from ? who knows
