Prince asked German R&B/soul singer Sandy Reed 2
translate the lyrics 4 a duet in2 German.
She was allowed 2 tell bits of the story:
Prince didn't know her personally but asked German record
companies 2 look 4 a fitting singer who should also B able
2 translate the lyrics.
Sandy then asked Pe Werner (quite well known group in
Germany) 2 help her translating them.
Sandy Reed said the song was about "girls and boys."
Anyway, she had 2 refrain from singing bits of it
according 2 the contract she had 2 sign.
