The repeats are at least 4 to 6 shows behind. I will definitely keep track of the repeats and post the exact date of the re-airing of the quintessential Prince+Npg performance. So keep checking this site. It will be Eastern time.

I think his name is actually Dustin but who really cares anyways.

I loved the performance!

My main complaint was having to suffer through two, lame, time-wastin' interviews to get to the main event. It was a crime to put Prince at the tail-end of the program, letting the credits roll over him at the close of the song.

Also Jay Leno could have prepared his comments a lot more carefully. In my opinion, there was insufficient for Prince, minimal mention of the ONA Live box set, and essentially no mention of the fact that Prince has just finished a highly successful international tour.

CNBC did not show the tonight show with J.L. I saw the pictures. They are great. I hope I can find a copy of the show on the internet.

- yeah, it´s true, but probably it was only a distraction. During the last show with Leno, where he performed ´The Work´ and ´Ballad of DP´, I got the impression that Leno really admired him.

Don't you think they should have the NPGmusicclub site working right now?
You know there are people who saw that performance, and, out of curiosity, they are going to be checking the site to see what it is about. Then he has a great closing performance in Vegas...and doesn't the CD drop in stores today?
I mean WTF? omfg
Why can't his people get their shit together? mad
It seems like everytime something positive happens, someone from his camp does something to screw up positive publicity. sad

That's what was thinking that night! During The Tonight Show with Jay Leno appearance, the NPGMusicClub.COM website SHOULD HAVE BEEN UP...that night!

I bet you they got thousands of hits...in fact, Prince should have been interviewed and mentioned his club...the box set...maybe interviewed with Sheila next to him! That would have been great. Oh well. Still a fabulous performance.

Maybe Prince thought of letting the music and his performance speak rather than what a big record company would have done.

Prince was great on guitar, and was in a funky mood. I just wish someone would have turned his guitar volume up! Hope we see more of Prince on TV promoting ONA!!!

Enquiring Minds Want To Know!!

His name is Aaron or something. He dj's out at Paisley Park during the celebration and friday night parties. He also used to be in the Fonky Baldheads...ECK!...
Personally I think Prince can find a MUCH BETTER dj, that kid is not even a good mixer, cant scratch, or even crabwalk...imposter dj, that kid was dj'in in a stripclub before Prince found him. Kid is WACK!
Plus he thinks hes some kind of super dj now that he works with Prince, sheit...Dj Abilities, Dj XCal, Dj Substance, Dj Q-Bert, King IXL, Mr Dibbs all would crap all over that kid with one hand on a table...

I have made it a point to tape as many American TV shows that Prince appears on. I've done this since 1990, and there have only been a precious few that I haven't caught. (The performance of Peach at the '94 VMA's got erased - anyone got a copy?), and he's everything from reclusive to playful to down-to-earth. But there was something about this particular show that was beyond special. I have to say a couple things: first, it was so cool to see Prince, Eric Leeds and Sheila E. on the same stage together again. Second, it appears to me that he's trying to get back to the fun he had on tours such as Dirty Mind and Controversy, and is choosing not to put so much darned polish to every single show. He's just jammin', talkin' loud, but sayin' plenty, and it's all good. Third, this is the most basic band I think Prince has ever had. Just FOUR main musicians? Interesting. You go, boy. I can't wait to go out and get the box set when it comes to my music store - it's gonna rock so hard, my neighbors will be feel it!!!

Also I think is that he has no more dancers on stage with him and the band...that's totally refreshing and takes it back to the music and style again...ala heyday. No more rappers too. Ahhh.
