I have friends close to Paisley and Mayte - and friends from Paisley told me about Mani's conquests towards Prince. To each his own I guess..... no such thing as a homewrecker....If one is taking care of their home, there is nothing to WRECK!!! See, now that's a philosophy I can't understand. Maybe the 'home' is bad or the marriage is close to ending, but the marriage STILL EXISTS. It is still a union that another outside woman has NO PLACE involving herself in or adding to. A woman of class, character, and self-respect will stay far away from another woman's husband - no matter HOW terrible the marriage is - until that married man takes care of his unfinished business with his wife, obtains a legal divorce, and becomes available as a single man again. *Obviously* the married man plays his part in the whole shady scenario if he opts to cheat on his wife with another woman, but the 'other woman' has, in my opinion, a moral and ethical obligation to 'do the right thing' and NOT GET INVOLVED IN ANOTHER'S MARRIAGE. If Mani got involved with Prince, a legally married man, bound to another woman by vows, then it is my contention that even if his marriage was allegedly horrible, she's not a woman of honor or of any character to involve herself in another couple's marriage. She should've kept her nose out of it until Prince became legally divorced...but I guess she felt she needed to strike when the iron was hot so as to snag what she wanted. i have to disagree the one thing i do like about mani is that she does not need to wear make-up. she is very pretty without it.
if you watched Carmen and Dave , Carmen stopped wearing alot of make-up like she use to. men marry natural. they leave the made up dolls where they found them. that is the truth. but alas it is also my opinion. so... i won't exclude yours. i did find the whole natural is farting thing funny tho. 
but still she looks good in these pictures and she doesn't have make-up on. that is so like amazing to me. she is natural beauty. good for him that he finally wants that. plus when you wear make-up all the time then your natural face starts looking odd without it. so waking up next to someone is horrifying for them. you have to run into the bathroom to get back to the way they saw you last. if you ask me that is just to much to go through. granted i think that Kelly Clarkson (first american idol winner) needs some make-up. lol | |

Mani is very different to Mayte and, in my opinon, not as beautiful. This might be a good thing for Prince though as sometimes people get stressed with their partner looking glam and all. Maybe he has found more in Mani than looks, as with everyone you may go out with someone that is not as pretty as your last partner, but they crack you up..or they are so amazing looking that you put up with them having smelly feet or something. Really, there is not much more needed to be known about Mani than the basic scenario to make some founded assessments. She may very well be a perfectly nice girl (at least superficially) but the general facts do not speak very highly of her character. Ironically [to criticisms posted about Mayte] Mani seems to have molded herself entirely to suit the sole (and lofty!?) project of snagging Prince.
She was/represents something Prince himself has mocked and ridiculed for years -- the consummate FANATIC. She's the poster girl for the ultimate Prince stalker because her strategy was much more insidious and calculated than hiking up her dress to him at a club -- The fact of Mani's courting him while married to Mayte (and during the baby era) is an entirely other shady discourse. It is almost painful to me that Prince -- my hero -- would support at any level this kind of blatant disrespect. C'mon, Man. You're better than that... Confirmed reports of her wearing Mayte's clothes, etc., is nothing if not completely FOUL, even if it was initiated by a twisted (read: jilted, vengeful) Prince. And wasn't Mani a pre/law student? In other words, she was trained in the art of persuasion and not necessarily Truth... ----- I normally wouldn't say all this but this rant above has really annoyed me. Firstly, she was not a FANATIC. Don't get me wrong -- she obviously carried out every Prince Girl's *fantasy* -- but seriously, to make it one's life ambition, to sacrifice everything else not knowing the man anymore than the rest of us do through his music, is completely wack. I don't know one stable, emotionally healthy woman with a life and purpose that would give everything up to try, even in the strongest days of Prince-obsession (and trust me, we've all had "if only he knew *me*...I-understand-him-in-a-way-that-no-one-else-could" moments.) Not only is that really strange, but it is also very impractical. For starters, you'd have to be independently wealthy...and then have an over-inflated sense of self. There is no comparison with the way in which his relationship developed with Mayte. She has said many times that she barely knew who he was when she was hired by him to dance -- what she was *trained* to do. Her mother wasn't a Prince fanatic, either, just a bit of an opportunist in that she saw a potential gig for her daughter due to the Middle Eastern influences of his music at the time (Theives In The Temple, I believe.) Any "(eager-to) pleasing" Mayte did over the course of her tenure with NPG has more to do with the fact that she was young, inexperienced and not really exposed to much else. Isolated and in love, she did as he insisted. That was Prince's game. The fact of Mani's courting him while married to Mayte (and during the baby era) is an entirely other shady discourse. Remember that she not only had the advantage of waiting until he became emotionally vulnerable, but also of witnessing what went wrong between him & Mayte (where Mayte "failed.") And wasn't Mani a pre/law student? In other words, she was trained in the art of persuasion and not necessarily Truth... Somehow there's nothing pretty about that to me, but then I do see Beauty in a true strength of character, not a constructed one... I'm not particularly keen on Mani or how it appears that she hooked up with Prince. They're together now so wish them the best all the same. It has made me think less of Prince as a person though.
I'll say this for Mayte though, that girl has held a dignified silence since her split with Prince (terms of divorce be damned!) It would be very easy for her to sell her story about the whole Marriage, death of Gregory, and ultimately the reasons for the divorce, but she hasn't.
