There was an interview I read in the net about Sheila E., and she said she was with Prince for about 6 years (?) not sure, and that she wanted to marry Prince, but he never asked her to, and that she was tired of him being with other woman while he was with her, which he told her was part of his 'rockstar' image.

I'm aware that these things might be based on 'juiced' up facts, but if I have the time later, I will search the article again. But it makes one wonder, what may or may not be true, according to these interviews and some reports.

But really, I thought it was widely known that Prince was romantically linked with these women, and others he worked with.

I had (note the word "had") a friend who was lucky enough to talk with shiela sometime during the early 90s. During their converstaion Prince came up and my friend had told me that sheila said she was never with Prince, and that was probably the reason why she and Prince worked so well together. I've never seen that article, but I'm just going by that. She could be like cramne (how her story about P changes everytime she's asked). Don't know, anything is possilbe, i guess.
And for apollonia, she was married during the "purple rain" era.

Apollonia was married during the filming of 'Purple Rain'? Hmmm,I wonder if her boyfriend David Lee Roth knew about this? In the 'Possessed' book,it says that Prince made her break up with David before they started filming the movie.I guess Prince didn't know about the OTHER man in her life


As for Sheila...she herself said that she was engaged to Prince in 1988,so there must have been something going on.

lady t: I think it was on one of her sites (might have been one of rick's instead, can't remember, probably most likely one of his) and it was one of those rumors that I used to hear a lot of back in the day (I never said this one was true, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was)

Concerning Sheila E. Prince always respected her musicianship and they are still friends. She did have a short romance with Prince. If anyone remembers, a couple of times that she performed on Arsenio Hall's show he mentioned Prince 2 out of the 3 or 4 times that she was on the show that she was with him. In fact Arsenio asked her was it true that she used to write songs after having sex such as Love Bizarre which she did write with Prince. She slipped up and told Arsenio that she wrote it after she got out of bed with, Prince.
I would stay friends with her too if she supplied me with some of the best musicians and singers i ever had. Such as Levi Seacer Jr.(he came from her band)and he showed up as part of the Sign 'O' Times band and he was with Prince from then to 93, Boni Boyer, Miko Weaver. Lets face it, part of the counterrevolution were her bandmates. Rhonda Smith, Kat Dyson were referred to Prince from Sheila. Both ladies ended up touring with Sheila again after they got off Prince's Emancipation tour.

i don't know what's so upsetting about this jill jones story. they had a bad relationship and he dumped her, this kind of stuff has only happened since the history of the universe
