i got to know Andy's music through P and I find it interesting to read the lyrics ( she is a great lyricist imo) to the songs they wrote during their time together and even after, but i found the raspberry beret reference a bit too cloying and obvious in the song and the video ...but hey , its her artistry and I respect that

Yeah,I got into Andy's music through Prince as well and I agree she is a great writer-something Prince thought as well.I think the beret reference in both the song and the video was sweet and her way of letting us know she was thinking about him.The fans who commented on her posts about the video got it and most found it moving and respectful to him.If she had been looking at a picture of him/them in the video then I would have considered that over doing it but I think the raspberry beret was tasteful.

I think people will continue to see what they want regarding Andy and Prince. Just like it's clear to you that she has confirmed their relationship, it's that clear to me that she hasn't. Andy said the song was about her crush. If she had a relationship with Prince, he wasn't her crush. If you go along with the video and replace the best friend with Prince, it makes sense, Prince was that crush. Maybe there was something more between the 2 of them that was never explored for one reason or another and that could be the the heartbreak she referenced in her letter to him...and maybe the beret was to let the fans know the song was about him. But none of us will ever knownfor sure iunles Andy comes out and says it herself. And based on what we've seen from her so far, I don't think she ever will.

I don't think 10,000 Days is about Prince mainly due to the Power Ranger backpack line.I think the raspberry beret reference is just her way of remembering him.Andy also said they "shared a great love and that he taught her to love so deeply without any inhibitions." and a lot of people seemed to take that statement as her confirmation along with the intimacy of the photo she shared.Their relationship was also confirmed by one of Prince's close associates recently. On Andy's old FB there is a photo of Prince and Andy together posted in 2012 and I saw a comment made by Joshua Welton's father saying,'Hmmmm,I see a little chemistry". followed by So he seemed to know something.People began asking Andy about Prince more after he passed and a lot of people were telling her about her picture being up and that she must have been special to him and some now consider her to be his last love.Prince announced that he had a crush on Andy so at least it was mutual if she was crushing on him.I also doubt Andy will ever come out and say if they dated as she doesn't seem to want to discuss their relationship much outside of the music they did together.She wouldn't answer the question about kissing him and seemed really embarrassed at first before finally pleading the fifth but she was always private about her personal life.In a radio interview she did in Sacramento while Prince was visiting her the DJ called her Prince's girlfriend and she responded with "Slow Ya Roll!"and played down the rumors.Prince seemed to be in the studio and the DJ was flirting openly with her and ended the interview by saying that he wouldn't be stalking her at her house and that he didn't want to get beaten up by Prince, to which she responded by saying "Thank You"! So there were hints here and there and neither openly confirmed the relationship to the public but it seems some of their friends and associates knew by what some have said.

No,actually it's because it's my favorite song off of the LP.I don't know if it's about Prince-something he said at the end of Big City makes me think it might be but with the country feel of the song,I think it might be about her ex bf from Texas and it looks like he left her for another girl which is what the song is about.Most seem to think it's about Prince though from the comments I've seen.

I know she was answering the question about what inspired the afro but she was asked that on The Prince Podcast and she said then that" he had the Andy Allos and Esperanza Spaldings around him at the time" without revealing that he was dating Andy.It was said that Kim also told those at the Alumni conference that Andy inspired his afro but there was no mention of them dating as far as I know.I just meant that Andy might not have wanted that info out there since they seemed to want to keep the relationship private.
