I think Elisa's heart is in the right place, but the implication that just because Prince didn't release a song, it was therefore unfinished is incorrect. He made too much music to be able to release it all. I'm sure there are songs in the vault that are unfinished, but I'm also sure that plenty of the music is finished and ready to go.

How could she be incorrect when she personally knew him.

I believe she is correct in that Prince didn't want his unfinished music to be released, but I think she is incorrect in assuming that none of the music in the vault is finished. According to her statement, Prince never told her this. It is her own assumption/implication.

As others have mentioned, Prince himself stated that others would release his vault music one day, not just in The View interview, but the lost Rolling Stone interview as well, where he specifically describes how he would like to see it compiled (chronologically).

"In the future you could put all the best stuff from one particular time period together and then you can release it. It'd just be like if we found a Sly and the Family Stone album and they saved their best stuff. If that's even possible!"
