ANDY's is pretty subtle. She sings the Story of U and I and includes a little purple heart. The singing by the way was already recorded on MOnday. SO maybe she wasn't up to doing anything today.

We were two boys just tryin to figure it out....Never in a million years would I have ever thought I would be publicly wishing Prince peace and blessings and wishing there was a way to let him know how much he meant to me. Thank God I was able to do that when he was here but there were still so many things I wanted to share, so many things I thought we'd get a chance to do at some point but life has its own script and I have learned that if there are things you really wish to... do and words you would wish to say to those who mean a lot to you, you need to say it and do it NOW, let them know how you feel, don't wait until after they're gone to profess how much they meant. Do it when their ears can hear the words and their heart can feel the love....

   Happy Birthday Prince, you left so many here who love, respect and miss you, I am simply one of the millions. May your spirit and music continue to be celebrated with the love, honor and respect that it deserve.

1. I remember after Emancipation had its release party and had heard the ENTIRE album, Prince was walking to his apartment just down the hall ( in striped yellow and red pants ) and I hopped up from my desk, catching up with him as he was unlocking his door. Of course I couldn't say ... " hey Prince" so I made sure to approach loudly ( on carpeting ) and started to speak as I walked "...I just wanted to tell you ( now he's turned and I'm right up on him ) how awesome your new a...lbum is. I am proud to be part of it. "
   He blinked for a second and said very low and quiet "Thank you. I'm happy too." Gave me a nod, and disappeared through the door.
   I'm glad that raw motivation overrode the occasional "why would he care what I think" inside voice.
   I've always been grateful for the opportunity and that I actually told him stuff like this.
   You're missed more than you'd know but I'm grateful on so many levels you emerged into this world all those years ago today.
