Will Motown re-issue Vanity?

Do any orgers think that Motown will release Wild Animal & Skin on skin on CD? I wish they would as a tribute to her.

It would be nice! The cassette and Vinyls can still be bought on Ebay, but I sure would LOVE Skin on Skin on CD! Can we petition Motown?

a better idea would be to contact Big Break Records or the FunkytownGrooves label. These are reissue labels that mostly focus on rare, forgotten albums that the major labels haven't reissued.

I sure wish they would. I love those albums. Totally underrated in my opinion. I'm all for a petition if that would help.

The two Vanity tracks from the non-Motown "Action Jackson" soundtrack also need to be remastered and released ASAP.

Those gems were produced by Jesse Johnson.

"7th Heaven",which Vanity recorded for the 'Last Dragon' movie, could also be added as another bonus track

I read here on the org that those labels tried to release Vanity's albums on CD and she blocked them.

This probably the case and while I don't agree with it, I understand it and respect it. Bummer.. pout

I suppose I have to find a different way. Maybe buy cassette player... Do they even sell those anymore? lol

Is her rendition of "Nature Boy" (from Friday the 13th episode) anywhere on cassette?

I know she wanted to forget about her "Vanity" past, but I hate when artists do things like this confused It's like they want to erase a large part of their lives.

crazy that she would have them blocked, I thought she didn't care about royalties or anything like that?

i would still like to have a remastered copy of both albums. I still listen to them like they were released recently.

however you can get a remastered version of 7th Heaven on the remastered Last Dragon soundtrack. It's on iTunes and Spotify etc etc.

u got me under the influence.

Motown could put out a Vanity best of collection including songs from Wild Animal, Skin on Skin & The Last Dragon.

Track list;

Wild Animal

Samuelle

Mechanical Emotion

Pretty Mess

7th Heaven

Under the Influence

Romantic Voyage

Skin on Skin

Animals

music Unfortunately, not likely to happen sad . I'd only add her cover of "Nature Boy" that she did on the Friday the 13th episode.

I didn't know that either, the way I heard it, she didn't want to receive royalties or anything from her work as Vanity, but then I heard that interview where she was like she never stated that.
