Very nice interview. Sad hearing their stories of how they heard of Prince's passing. sad

I was thinking about a couple more things that were said:

.

Wendy: Probably six months before he died. He was calling to find out how my sister was [Susannah, Wendy's twin and Prince's former girlfriend], and he wanted to get her phone number. It was a very normal conversation.

.

The fact that he wanted to make contact with Susannah again kind of makes you wonder why, out of the blue he wanted to do that?

.

And this.........

.

Mark: To say he was a drug addict and all that kind of stuff, it just pissed me off. He was hurting, he was in pain [from hip surgery], he was in pain. He made a couple of mistakes, like any of us.

.

Mark said Prince was in pain, and he made a couple of mistakes? I wonder what he meant by that?

.

Any thoughts?

Little do I know, but I think he wanted to make peace with her. I know they had a falling out over using The Family's name a few years prior. He didn't make them use the name and had stated that she was belligerent or something or another afterwards. They are still not using the name though, so I guess he still didn't allow them to use it even after speaking with her again. Also, he had seemed quite upset with her in that interview he did where he revealed that The Beautiful Ones was written about Vanity And not her. So they still had some open wounds to close even after the progress they had made in the past becoming friends again. I hope they both got the closure they needed.

It seemed he was reaching out to all his past friends in the last few years. He reached out to Cat in the hospital, and Brown Mark said he called him to say hi. I forget how the Appllonia story went. I don't remember if she reached out to him first or if he reached out to her. Whatever the case, I think he was trying to make peace with all his friends. I haven't been paying attention or chiming in on comments regarding his death because I hate talking about it, but I'm sure people are probably wondering why he was reaching out to everyone all of a sudden. I really don't care, I just hope he was able make peace with them and have his closure.

I'm relieved to hear one of his associates saying he was in pain again. It seems like everyone forgot the man was in pain and started taking these pain killers to ease the pain. This could happen to the best of us. All is forgiven in my eyes...

What Wendy and Mark said is now making me wonder. Was he just trying to mend fences with people, or was there something more going on? We just don't know.

.

Also, Wendy expressed her upset about all the tributes going on right after Prince died. I have to agree; it was all too much and too soon.

.

Also, Sheila E. keeps using Prince symbol/trademark at her performances. I understand she was very close to Prince at one point in her life, but her and a lot of other people need to tone it down a bit, because it's making them look like they are exploiting Prince, imo.

StopIt

He was clear he didn't want that, forever, no less.

So his choices are something to be respected.

He had his reasons.

Accounts for no less love & appreciation for that supremely gifted configuration. Agreed.
