Not at all! She praised him a ton in this book she said he waited to make love 2 her but when they finally made love she says he was amazing and his thang was perfect, he was childlike in nature and was romantic.
She kinda depicted sly Stallone and eddie Murphy as jerks, the book has great information

It sounds trashy but the book had class

That's encouraging. I still can't bring myself to buy it. I'm glad you enjoyed it though. biggrin

Interesting that she says in the book that she felt Morris didn't like Prince and that when she told Morris she had just met Prince he said, "Well, good for you!" and walked off.

I downloaded the Kindle and have only read half. So far I think she was very respectful of him. I love the story -- sounds like the mysterious, sweet Prince I always imagined him to be and I think the writing was good. I'll finish it tonight. I haven't found it to be a trashy tell all at all.

Same, even the sexual stuff wasn't that trashy.

It's clear that Prince was playing alot of mind games with these ladies biggrin He was leading them on...telling them what they wanted to hear...."I'm gonna marry you,I'll take care of you"....Nona Gaye says that's exactly what Prince told her,and then a short time later, she reads in the media that he's "engaged" to Mayte! He didn't even call her to tell her directly.

According to Vernon Reid Prince broke up with Nona Gaye at Danceteria. So he told her directly. He was a player and most of these women knew that as they have adminted that they knew he had other girlfriends. You can expect someone to marry you who is running around the whole time you are going out.

It seems to be as easy to fall in love with Prince as it is too get hurt and really bad. He is irresistible for one thing but also any woman would love the challenge of being the ONE which obsviously never happened regardless of claims.

The ONE was his music, the only ONE he stuck with all his life. And she was the most beautiful in the world, the one that never deceived him, the one who transmitted all of him, the one we all rank at number ONE..

Agree. The MUSIC was the ONE for Prince.

You did already in one of your other posts. Don't mind me. I was trying to be a little silly, it didn't work.

Devin wrote a nice blog post about their time together after he passed. She had nothing but nice things to say, (although he was with Susannah at the time also, LOL). Whether he married them, dated, or was just friends, the fact is all of these women cared deeply about him, and he saw something he liked in each of them, so as long as everyone is keeping it classy, they have every right to tell their story. cool

Love is God, God is love, girls and boys love God above.

Intereting to note, in the Preface, she writes that 50% of the proceeds from her book sales, will go to "Yes We Code". Amazon has a Look Inside feature for this book which is where I read this information.

I like that very much. I think I will get this book since I haven't had an inside listen to Prince in this era from a woman who was close to him.
I wonder what she means when she says he was childlike. I have heard that he would sort of hide and play peek-a-boo with girls he liked. So cute! He really was one of a kind. I'm hoping she talks about what it was like behind the scenes at his performances.
But I really respect those who are donating proceeds to his charities.

Yes, I did as well and will order partly for that reason.

Dez's book came out in 2003: https://www.amazon.com/My...930575491. BAsed on the cost of it on Amazon, it looks like the book is out of print.
