Mazarati - Jerk Out I revisited this on a happenstance n it hit me, this is sum vulgar, funky shit! Been on repeat 4 a few days . Love Morris, but this trumps his entirely . I'm cool w/ P on backup only if i never hear his version. Such a dope groove . I can't recall liking another Maz song even their take on 100mph but Terry (i think that's his name ) kicks ass on Jerk Out n For all time I am with you, you are with me.

Never heard it but would love too. I read on Youtube where someone commented on the Time's version that Mazarati's version was harder and funkier but they turned it down because of the original lyrics which the Time later reworked. Don't laugh at my funk
This funk is a serious joint

^ N thanks for the lyrics cuz I was lost on sum o them . Also, didn't think it was all that awful myself either, those lyrics. I suppose The Time did cuz they slept on the song n changed the lyrics eventually . For all time I am with you, you are with me.

I prefer the Time's version, but I can see why many people like the original. It's slower, funkier and the lyrics are hardcore--like something Prince would have recorded himself during the 1999 era. (And looking now at the studio info above, that was indeed the case.)

I,too, prefer the Time version. The racially sensitive lyrics on the Mazarati version would have kept the song from getting radio airplay.
