Ask Dr. Fink on Facebook. Or Susan Rogers. Only they would know.

It's not on the princevault site, and I'm too lazy to go look at one of the Uptown books to find out.

If it is, he'll no doubt be genuinely excited to hear it and want to talk about it. Or at least, that's how I would be.

And of course, Susan might not know. But those would be the two people I would ask. There are a couple of other people that might know (Alan Leeds and Susannah Melvoin), but who knows. Probably not the best time to bother any of them with questions about Prince. Or so I would imagine.

I've seen this posted many times on Facebook fan groups. Not Prince.

Also, not listed in the Per Nilsen books "The Vault" or "Dancemusicsexromance." Not that it means anything -- stuff is leaked all the time. Or it was.

Damn, I could pay rent if I sold two of my books by Per. And still have "The Vault." lol

It's not on princevault because it's not Prince:

My ex-classmate could do a good "Cloreen Baconskin" voice..

I listened to an intderview of Fink... Prince usually had the tracks and keys done already before they heard anything... Mostly, they worked with him on The Time records and the other groups.

Aly james created a vst copy of the linn lm1. It's probably the most accurate "copy" as it's not just sampling the sound, but actually imitating the circuits as well, and how the samples actually sounds when tuned to another pitch on the original machine. It beats the hell out of other copies.

Them LM-1 is too clear...Almost too clean from stuff from that era..(1982-1987)

The guitar playing - seems....90s style..

Fink; For fink to be on this song... He gets no "Feature solo" or dynamic keyboard playing?

Impersonator...

It's funny... lol

Yep. I've been here before (I did not see the track, or stick-around long-enough to listen...Dr. Fink is involved):
