Very interesting thanks! Martika had already told the story about her meeting Prince only once and giving him her texts, but it's the first time Martika explains why Open Book wasn't used and says that she never even recorded a version of it. It's a pity it wasn't used at least as a b-side instead of being discarted entirely: I think Jevetta Steele's voice ruins it (nothing against Jevetta, she just wasn't the singer for that song IMHO) while Martika's vocals would probably have been perfect!

I love this quote. That´s exactly how I feel. The planet feels different without Prince. There really was a comfort in knowing that he´s alive, doing whatever wherever, regardless of any tours or album releases, it was just good to know that he´s healthy and alive, and that´s what I always kept saying here when things got a bit rough.
