12th june 2001 was the last time they played to an audience at paisley
the time opened the second of 3 shows at st paul on 17th june 2004, and they were at paisley park for the aftershow, some of them were standing with the audience before going through the back | |

Jerome has a replacement. Monte & Jellybean are the only original members. But the new members are all good. Actually Chance Howard(from the Musicology tour) use 2 b a member.  will ALWAYS think of  like a "ACT OF GOD"! Morris and Prince seem like they can fall out and just sort it out whenever, they're cool like that.
Monte is always cool with everyone.
But Jellybean hasn't always been too complimentary about P, so with some luck hopefully they patch things up. |

I always got the feeling that Prince and Morris are like brothers not by blood...and have the underlying sibling rivalry and love that goes with it.
Prince is definitely awed by Morris' style/persona..."Tricky" being a great homage with Morris on the skins! ~Shakalaka!~..... ~Mayday!~ | |

We'll see how tonight goes. It will still be fun seeing Judith & Morris, I'll be dancing my ass off ! I feel w/ all amazing artist's dying people should set aside ego's and play together before they CAN'T! I suspect if Glen Goin's / Eddie Hazel was alive they'd probably be touring w/ George (but who know's GC getting cheap) or doing there own thing. Plus Gary Shider spent up til his last day's playing w/ GC. Glad i got to see him even older. He was always nice, humble, an the life of the party
I don't get how GC would have everyone and there son's during the P-Funk all sat's day's having everyone who played w/ himnot able to fit on the stage,an of course George still coming out late andgetting most of the pay (and sometime's it wasen't much since people stopped going to his show's) . Bernie doing his own thing recording w/ a lot of younger band's now. He's been talking shit about his athritis but still roughing through it lending his sounds. I no Blackbryd Mcknight joined up w/ GC and Michael Hampton was popping up on some show's nevermind George got his voice back. So it's not the 70's lineup but a fun time. I'll be there til George ain't here no more. It is BS calling it The Time tho..even in mid -late 80's Morris was playing under his name, he need's to go back to that, Unless Prince might have patched something up and there's a surprise tonight? I doubt it tho. | |
