I understand the outrage but as acid as it was... the way it was written, it was just hilarious. Sometimes humor outrights everything else I guess. I've already laughed at some good jokes people have cracked about the worst moments of my life, so I allow myself to laugh about that kind of dark humor when it's about someone else. But yeah, it was bloody bad taste. But hilarious.

As for throwing a shade on a happy announcement, unless you're supersticious I don't see how this could throw any shade on anything. + not everyone has to consider childbirth good news: usually when my friends have children they end-up breaking-up within a year and hating each other, so forgive me if I have reservations about praising people when they announce they're gonna have a baby.

This being said, I obviously wish Josh and Hannah the best things.

"Throwing shade" must mean something different for you then it does for me and the people I know. I was using it http://www.urbandictionar...row+shade, specifically the first definition from March 2006. Anyway, I'm glad that you acknowledged the bad taste. I don't like being a wet towel, but I felt like I had to say something.

Your link gives me this:

"There aren't any definitions for throw shade, yet.

Can you define it?"

sad

Here you go:

Throw shade
to talk trash about a friend or aquaintance, to publicly denounce or disrespect. When throwing shade it's immediately obvious to on-lookers that the thrower, and not the throwee, is the bitcy, uncool one

For example, "How does Kimmy keep any friends? Last night at the party all she did was throw shade at people."

That's how I use it. Definition courtesy of Urban Dictionary.

My reaction was - congratulations, it's wonderful news for them and their families BUT why advertise that all over social media? via a shmaltzy video re-enacting when they found etc. Weird.

...every night another symphony...
