Sheila E London gig

Not sure whether this has been posted before, but Sheila E is playing at the Brooklyn Bowl at the O2 on April 10th.

Hey you guys are in for a TREAT tonight! I saw her in Vienna two days ago and it was some GREAT, great show!

playlist as far as I can remember was something like this

Samba Funk

Leader of the band

Old School (including snippets of One Nation under a groove & Thank You Falettinme be Micelf Agin from backgroundsinger Lynn Mabry from Brides Of Funkenstein)

Lovely Day (Sheila on Bass)

A Love Bizzare

Oaklands in tha house

Rockstar (Sheila with Guitar, she left the stage and was playing/singin within the audience)

Fiesta

Erotic City/ Holly Rock / Belle Of St. Mark

Encore:

Noon Rendevous (Sheila solo on drums) & Drum Solo

Mona Lisa

Glamorous Life

she really put her heart & soul into the show, very personal and emotional at times. when she thanked everyone for coming cause artists today need this support to make a living, her voice was breaking and she was figthing with tears.

oh, and I was front row center, and brought a few CDs&booklets with me (in case she would do some signing after the concert) and when she aksed if anyone had heard or bought the last CD "Icon" I quickly took it out, then she took and signed it right away during the concert smile

I also catched one of the drumsticks she threw into the audience woot! (I also have to point out that co-orger funkadelic11 did NOT razz) and when she was improvising with drumsticks beating everything within reach (floor, microphone stands, speakers...) I held up a spare cymbal that was lying on the floor and she used it during her solo. so one day I can tell my grandchildren, that once I jammed & performed with Sheila E in a live concert nod razz

it was a funky and amazing experience! I hope she'll come back soon
