Prince commented on Mayte's vulgarity in She Loves Me for Me.

But then again, I also didn´t like how she came across during that VH1 special on Tommy Lee, where she was grilling a steak even though she claimed being a vegetarian not too long ago, and how vulgar she sounded when she was with Tommy Lee compared to how she behaved when she was with Prince.

I guess we will never really figure out what went on between the two of them, and I´m blaming neither Prince nor her.

She surely inspired him to write a lot of good songs, and she came across as a genuinely nice person back then, and she seems to like animals, so I can´t really dislike her, but those comments about not getting some of that "Purple Rain" money, or not getting child support sounded a bit too greedy for my taste.

I´d love to have a cup of coffee and a long conversation with her though, seriously. I think that would be fun.

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat? When? What was said exactly on NPGMC and where did post such a thing about the theatre? It's SO unlike him 2 share anything personal outside of songs!

i don't know that she can't find a man, or really anything else about her. i think she's probably just another human being, trying to make her way in this world as best she can so i'm just going to say that she is waiting for the right guy to come along, and i hope she finds him too

To my knowledge Humberto already has children from a previous relationship. I don't think being a father would scare him away. However how fast Mayte is moving things along probably is scary. Didn't Tommy Lee write something in his book about Mayte pushing him having a child with her and that was part of why their relationship ended Also showing her vulgar side in public doesn't sit well with some men. Her repeated remarks about missing the dick on a tv show can make some men run for the hills.

Most women I know past 35... are picky since they know exactly what kind of man she wants. Many of my friends, (including me) stay single for a while until a decent mate comes along...sometimes for years even. It's simple. Sometimes you have to wait for the right kinda guy to come along, no need to chase after or date every guy in town.

As for her personality? She seems like a regular feisty LA lady to me. She also has an older sister I believe (not an only child), and she likes "pretty boys"... men who have pretty eyes, and beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I am sure Mayte does not give a fuck about who else thinks her men are fine.

As for why things didn't work out? Shit, she got Prince to marry her ass didn't she? We ALL thought Prince would never marry. Prince is just not the marrying type... and maybe that player type of man is exactly what turns Mayte on. Mayte may very well be into men who are aloof, independant and narcissists.

And remember.... Prince does not have a great track record himself when it comes to relationships. Guess he's a nut job spoiled brat too?

But, I love Mayte. She plays a character named Mayte who once was married to Prince. How does she expect that her audience will not think that that is not the way she acts in real life?

I watched the season finalle today of Hollywood exes and they seemed fine near to the end. I think maybe Mayte can come across as a little desperate to get married now. I mean, she's 40. Most people her age are married and settled with children. I think she maybe feels like she needs to catch up with her peers.

I'd love to meet her. Mostly just to talk about her style in the '90s haha. I love her pointy fringe that she had.
