Interesting and humble brotha, huh? I like SOME of his shit, but am still not familiar with a LOT of it. I know he pioneered the whole Nu Wave thing (which was somethin' out of his creative self,) but I'm not so sure it really took off. He seemed 2 do better when Prince stepped in on "The Dance Electric" and of course, with his own productions with Jody Watley. We'll see tho. If there's anything the public is after NOW, it's originality and a back to basics approach to music where everything today is so copped and unoriginal. I'll give him a sniff tho. Why not? I know Andre is not very well liked in the Prince community for whatever reason but his new cd is quite excellent!! Rock and roll fans should check it out. I really dig it. If R&B is your thing stay clear as there is none. I give it 4 stars out of 5.
