Fonky Bald Heads

Has anyone ever listen to their album, its on spotify (Rowdy Mac features Prince, throway funk number...).

I was just checking it out today, it features some really amazing guitar parts by Rev Mike Scott and awesome drumming by Kirky J. Something i never thought i'd be typing! It got me thinking about how held back some of the musicians were in Prince's band. Mr Hayes for example, almost never got to solo in the 2006-12 stint with the band.

Any other good examples of musicians that were excellent outside of the band, but restrained in the band?

I never knew this came out and I was wanting to buy it. I loved the live show on the tour. I always thought this project got aborted. Was there ever any mention or promotion for this? I would have definately bought this if I knew. It is always so hard to find out whats going on in the world of Prince. Very frustrating!!

Not so hard at all, just check prince.org and princevault a couple of times a week and you know a lot...

It's a nice album, I like it. I wonder what happened to Kirk and y he suddenly disappeared from prince's camp.

It's a mix of rap, metal and funk, but not too agressive. Not an extraordinary album but a nice listen once in a while.

The Self Titled Album.. Does have potential.. Personaly for ME it kicks some ass.. LOVE me some FBH... Most of u are probly most familiar with Sex In My Bones... that is on the CD.. but doesn't define it... the Stand out tracks are Passing Your Name and Funky Like A.... but YES it's Finally on Spotify.. if your 'on the fence' with this album, u can stream it and check it out and go from there...

It does Kick ass as an EP.. since its not Really a FULL length or conceived FULL album.. it has a mix that features both DVS and Kip Blackshire... And it Does have Prince involvement.. but they could stand their own... Daisy Chain would have been a great add on track... I'm sure I'm on the minority in being a Fonky Baldheads fan..but Do Check it....

And if your feeling Kip Blackshire... his album is on Spotify as well... "The Eleventh Hour".. LOTS of good stuff there too!!

he appeared at a few 2002 shows on percussion, and he was at the 3121 club in 2007 and got a shout out from Prince
