Finding The Funk

Did any one catch this show on VH1? I don't watch VH1 too often but I thought this was pretty awesome. They featured Sly and the family stone, Sheila E, Questlove, James Brown and of course, Prince. Alan Leeds was interviewed.

Thanks...I meant to watch that last night. You forgot to mention bass player Marcus Miller though.

Thanks...I meant to watch that last night. You forgot to mention bass player Marcus Miller though.

Yea, Marcus Miller too. Sheila said some nice things about Prince. Larry Graham was also discussed and how he revolutionized bass playing. The segment seemed to cut off unnaturally during Prince's section so I think there may be a longer version of this or unedited version of this.

I noticed that, too... It really should have been 2 hours. I felt like they spent a lot of time on James Brown and George Clinton, then rushed the rest.
