Carmen Electra To Release Empowering Album

Carmen Electra seems to be able to do it all. Not only is she one of Hollywood’s hottest models, she also dances, acts and even sings. Carmen is working on an album that she says she hopes will help others feel empowered. She recently released her new single WERQ, which will also be included on the album and says that she plans to shoot a music video for it in the near future. She released another single I Like it Loud, in 2012.

Carmen also plans to finish her album soon and says that she hopes the music will inspire listeners to dance while also improving their self-confidence. She said, Self-empowerment and empowering others [inspired the song]. Taking what you got and making it WERQ!” she told the publication. My plan is to finish the album and in between that, shoot the new video for WERQ, and I will be popping up and performing the new material.”

If you are wondering who inspired Carmen and gave her the empowerment she needed to try singing, that would be her ex-boyfriend Prince. Carmen and Prince dated in the early 90′s and in 1991 he signed her to his music label Paisley Park Records. While the couple’s relationship did not last, their friendship did and Carmen says that she is extremely appreciative of Prince’s willingness to believe in her,

Carmen seems to be handling the pressure of releasing her new single and working on an album pretty well. The singer is a big Yoga fan and uses the exercise to clear her head and stay toned. She also dances to stay in shape. Her new album and video for WERQ will both be released sometimes in 2014.
