Hello everyone. I interviewed Sheila E, and she told me off for asking too many Prince questions. Which is fair enough, I suppose. (I tried posting this a couple of weeks ago but it got removed. No idea why, but here it is again anyway. I hope you enjoy it.)

Reading the interview, it doesn't sound like "she told you off" at all.

She politely asked you to re-direct the interview. And you did.

It actually was a pretty good interview and had a good balance of Prince and non-Prince stuff. If you wanted ot know about her role on those songs maybe you shouldn't have asked about how they met.... that story is old news.

I think the article unnecessarily portrays Sheila negatively. I thought the Prince questions were interesting, but I doubt Sheila came into that interview prepared to give in depth responses to such specific questions. I can't blame her for asking to move on. She was there to promote her current album and tour.

I got the album for Xmas, it's not bad. Usual Latin funky pop. It sounds like Prince is on more of it but I don't know. Does anyone have the E Family album, is it worth trying to hunt down? smile
