I would pay somebody A cool million to ask her if she thinks shouting "Put Your Hands Up" at the top of her lungs is as annoying as me and a lot of tans think it is. Too bad I don't have the money, and too bad nobody would have the guts to bring it up. Unlike some on here who only clown on people like Shelby, I like her as a singer, and cringe at the thought Prince is forcing her to be a crowd flunky.

I attended the Welcome 2 Chicago Concerts and i thought of her like any other backup singer anyone could have basically. She wasn't overly involved except for on a few numbers. When she was involved she sounded great and can't understand what anyone could have agaisnt her. I do think Rosie Was funkier though.

Tweeted by @drfunkenberry: " @drfunkenberry Don't miss the PRINCE spreecast tonight with @Seth_Everett and our special guest @therealshelbyj join us at 10pm ET spreecast.com/events/%E2%80%…"

So, why does drfunkenberry call it a PRINCE spreecast? Is Prince in charge of the spreecast? or is Prince going to be on the spreecast?

If Prince is just the subject of the spreecast then I could write a song about Prince & call it a Prince song. nod

Cool. Will be listening. I want to know if Prince tours this year, if Shelby and the other two backup singers, will join him for some shows/or be part of that tour period, along with the horn players.

I don't think Shelby connecting with tha audience tellhg them to 'put their hands up' is annoying. If anything it pumps up the energy of the crowd. Prince says the same thing at some of his shows. When he had Sheila E on stage with him during W2A, Sheila walked around the stage with Prince, hyping the crowd up and shouting loud when she did it. Basically doing the same thing.

When Chance was at the Musicology tour with Prince, he did something similar too on stage, while Prince was on the other side of the stage telling the audience to 'clap your hands'. What's the big deal with Shelby doing it? I just think some folks can't stand to see Prince with anyone else on stage, as though Prince is only supposed to perform for them, and have absolutely no band members on stage with him at anytime. lol There's so much more things to complain about than someone doing something positive, like ramping up the energy of an audience. The other two backup singers do it too. So now when Prince tours with Donna, Ida and Hannah, let's see if one of them will come from behind their instruments, walk around the stage hyping or connecting with the audience, and let's see how many complaints about that we will see here.

I believe he posted a few days agoa, that they'll be discussing the latest Prince headlines, including Billboard and the new 20prince.com site, among other things.

It was tolerable at shows where she chanted it less than 50 times. When the "Put Your Hands Up" chant got over 50, it went from annoying to ridiculous Self-Parody. When your show is boring, and you need something to fill time with, a crowd flunky can fill a needed role. When you are a legend with at least 300 awesome songs in your can, it is downright shocking and embarrassing. The Musicology tour was great due to the focus being on the music, and Prince singing over 17 songs each night in full.

I went to Six W2A shows, and all six were under 2 hours. For the most part, they were great, but some of the arrangements were watered down and well below what Prince is capable of. The crowd chanting is nothing a serious musician should be a part of. The Prince Karaoke segment also distracted from what was mostly a very decent tour. Had Prince performed 3 more songs in full length instead of Play That Funky Music, and Shelby Put Your Hands Up, I wouldn't have too much to complain about.

I just refuse to take part in "Prince is so great live, his hair looked so good!"

I don't believe in Positivity, Negativity, or Lies.

I believe in expressing my own opinion.

Lots of discussion about the new single "Screwdriver"

The Seth talked at length about how to get the new song out there and to the fans.

old doc revealed Prince wanted to have a Twitter feed months ago and was trying to figure out a way to not have it related to himself since he doesnt like the way its run.

The Seth asked for an update on Billboard and old doc talked about 3rdEyeGirl and the new pics released and he referenced LOL - Live out loud

ShelyB joined - gotta give mad props for having two amazing guests two weeks in a row

She had fun talking about the Superbowl perfomance, Dakota shows, her history in music, spoke to a few fans live and had a little fun with 3rdEyeGirl holding a paper eye on her head! smile

They closed it out talking to about ping pong and who can beat Prince...I still wanna see Prince play Fallon on late night!

The greatest live performer of our times was is and always will be Prince.

Remember there is only one destination and that place is U
All of it. Everything. Is U.

You've posted about "put your hands up" about as many times as Shelby has said it.

When eye go 2 a Prince concert or related event it's all heart up in the house but when eye log onto this site and the miasma of bitchiness is completely overwhelming!

(Bolded part) So do I and I think you're full of yourself. I'll tell you why. You said you attended 6 W2A shows. I'm sure you was aware that ShelbyJ was going to be inclusive in that show, as one of Prince's backup singers, yet you attended each of those shows. So if your claim that if an artist's show is boring, and needs to fill time, by using one of his band members toenergize the crowd, then why did you attend the other 5 shows, after the first one, if you were so bothered by Shelby's chant? This is why your constant complaining of the same thing rolls over to nowhere, like a man who whines about his wife giving him the same dinner every night, yet he willingly sits at the table and eats it....then asks for seconds. lol

You are obviously one of those people who look at the glass as not only full, but NO MATTER WHAT, everything is PERFECT, and roses. "If you put your mind to it, you can do anything." Even if I'm 90 years old, I can dunk a basketball? YES, if you put your mind to it.

I don't live in a perfect world. I won't smile at shit. I made it clear there were many enjoyable things about the W2A TOUR. I know in your world you can't complain....but wait....YOU DO COMPLAIN....You complain about my complaining, which is worse than the complainer in the first place.

I usually, and I did this time, maintain that there were positives.

I am not going to be that person at an office job who gets word of a stupid new policy, and says, "Well, this new process has 30 steps to do what the old policy had in 3...it's GREAT!"

No, I point out how I feel about things.

I know there is a huge amount of people that will kiss Prince's ass no matter what he does.

I love the man like a brother, but I will point out failures.

You may want to listen to Jughead, and you may want to hear Tony M rapping about Manure in My Name Is Prince.

Well, I don't. I'll clown on Prince for letting Tony M within 100 miles of him.

And in the end, it's all opinion. If we all thought the same way, and thought everything was perfect and wonderful all the time, there would be no need to have a fan site.

Stillwaiting, If I thought the world was perfect, I wouldn't have disagreed with your complaint, I would have agreed with you, complete with a vase of roses and lillies. People who view the world as perfect wouldn't have any disagreements or complaints about it.. Disagreeing or responding to your post, doesn't necessarily mean you can't express your opinion, even if I don't agree with it.

I don't live in a perfect world. I won't smile at shit. I made it clear there were many enjoyable things about the W2A TOUR. I know in your world you can't complain....but wait....YOU DO COMPLAIN....You complain about my complaining, which is worse than the complainer in the first place.

2elijah said:

No, neither of us live in a perfect world, and you don't know my world no more than I know yours, but then why bother telling me I view 'everything as perfect' then turn around and tell me I do complain? Again, those who disagree with an opinion, don't see the world as perfect. Seriously, which one is it? lol

I usually, and I did this time, maintain that there were positives.

I wouldn't know that since I'm not in the asskissing business, and if I was, I would make sure I got paid just for the effort. kiss2

2elijah said:

Again, if that's the conclusion you've come to, knowing that we don't all think the same way, don't live in a perfect world, have differences of opinions... then you shouldn't have a problem with my response to your previous post. Stillwaiting, no hard feelings. This was fun by the way, but in the meantime "put your hands up!" and keep doing you. I rest my case. smile
