I attended his Melbourne drum clinic when he was down here last year. It was a really fantastic session and I can see how he would be a wonderful professor.

Congratulations John Blackwell. John Blackwell is a top notch drummer and musician and I think Prince was priveledged to play and record with Prince. Prince has worked with some amazing musicians who have gone on to the academic world and got their credentials to teach music as a college professor at Berklee University. I would love to attend a class taught by John Blackwell and Susan Rogers. I hope John continues to record with Prince but this does explain why Hannah is in the drummer chair.

John did attend and graduate from Berkley. He is an alum and they always make alum teachers there;

Thanks for the link. I, too, was wondering if this was an honorary position or a true faculty position. Since his title is "Associate Professor," it's more in line with a true faculty position, one that he has earned academically.
