After reading (on a news site) about the petition to get the North Carolina Governor to pardon the Wilmongton 10, before she leaves office this year, somehow listening to this song, kind of peaks your interest of North Carolina's history and where it stands today on a socio-political level. Good healing song for North Carolina.
Update: 12/31/12 - North Carolina Governor Purdue pardons Wilmington 10 today. Historic day for NC given its history. Again, the timing of this song is just right, based on the lyrics' focus on hope, change/social progress for North Carolina. [Edited 12/31/12 16:03pm] | |

Shelby is such a positive spirit. I ever so slightly disagreed with Shelby on her FB page one day, and poof, with the quickness I was unfriended. Didn't expect that from her, thought she'd be more open than that. Oh well, guess I was wrong. Hope her album does well though.
