Ok, there's a 7 min 3sec vid out in the usual place of Andy's interview and live performance of 'People Pleaser.' I have to say the hornz nail this - Allo's performance - it's competent. Check it out for yourselves wink

Feel kinda sorry that Andy got caught up in all the problems that went down on Monday... Seems like she was doing all right on her own...

Great to finally hear a full track from Superconductor! I love the jam People Pleaser, real funky. Andy looked beautifully immaculate as usual & her singing was really good. Her smile sure lights up the room! I'm so glad to have seen this!! Those horn players got the funk no doubt!! wink One thing, I know she was probably really nervous, but I have to question does she really, really believe in this music? If so, then let that swing show in your soul girl! If it's there, it can't help but manifest itself with this quality of music. Don't hold back! Release yourself- it'll feel good!! Would love to see her move more to the funk, is all. John Blackwell- I looove the jacket & Cassandra looked beautiful & real cool jamming on those keys. cool

I will await Superconductor with much hope & expectation!! biggrin Can't tell you how much Im dying to hear that funk. I genuinely hope it is a mega success for Andy. All the best x

Doesn't do it for me. This old school funk rehash is kinda boring tbh.

I gotta say, as my first opinion on seeing Andy Allo perform live is this:

For someone relatively new to the market she definitely has a huge band supporting her which just looks strange. Horns, drums, all the guitars you name it!. It’s obvious that Prince has given her full reign of his resources (and $).

I could listen to that band play all night but what irked me was hearing her sing. I’m not trying to be a jealous Prince fan here or anything – but seriously her voice just doesn’t go with the style of music (funk). It’s more of an easy listening genre. I can imagine hearing her sing while shopping in Earth Born or at a spa retreat (i’m seriously trying to not sound mean here because i actually really enjoyed Unfresh!!!!!!). So i guess what i’m trying to say is that the big band kind of drowns out Andy - as in they’re just not suited.

Another strange thing about Andy Allo is that you know when you hear singers talk to the interviewer their voice sounds the same as their singing voice. Well...Andy’s voice just changes completely. She actually has a cute speaking voice but when she sings it kind of sounds put on.

pray Peace in the House of Prince.

'Cause that's exactly what it is. Everything about Allo is phony.

Note: I had responded to the wrong topic. My response below was for

the topic::

'Andy Allo on "Good Day Chicago" Fox TV' --

My response is much longer under the correct topic.

WaterInYourBath and FunkySideEffects, I had

to drag your comments over there too because I agreed with both

of your statements.
