List of Prince protégés/musicians/collaborators albums (pt. 2)

So the old thread got locked because no one used it for too long, and I apologize cuz I kinda left it unfinished. It can be found here: http://prince.org/msg/5/376272

Here is my list so far. I'll try to keep updating it until it's finished (if such a thing can ever be finished). Contributions and corrections are much welcome as always biggrin

So far this list is only intended to include full albums but if you check it you'll find very interesting contributions by other orgers in the original thread, in terms of albums with only "a few songs by/with..." or singles. I'd love to include everything but the list would become a massive mess and it would also take me months, while I already have a comprehensive online Prince discography in progress, so I'll stick to my original concept, i.e. albums with any direct contribution by Prince and FULL albums recorded and/or produced by associated artists. ^^

Italics mean Prince was involved somehow.

Thanks. Interesting to have the info all together.

Are you going to include something like No Doubt - he contributed the song "Waiting Room" for the Rock Steady album, and Gwen Stefani sang on "So Far, So Pleased" (Rave album). I actually like "Waiting Room," and I think his background vocals are really good. I like when he sings background, like on the Time albums too, and even on his own songs like "Beautiful, Loved & Blessed."

OK, then do you care about Celine Dion - he wrote her a song "With This Tear," which was on one of her albums and she performed it on The Tonight Show or something, I think. Or is that too minor - he wrote songs for a lot of people.

Adding Céline Dion and Kenny Rodgers to the list will most likely make me throw-up but it ain't like I have a choice in the matter sad

I never knew she'd play it on TTS, thenks for the tip. I found it on YT, and thanks God it seems to be recorded 100% live (therefore not being an alternate semi-live mix of the album version).

List updated a bit today BTW smile

I love stuff like this. Kudos, my friend! cool

On the Wendy and Lisa list...didn't Prince play guitar (uncredited) on a track from either their debut or Fruit at the Bottom? I know he remixed "Lolly Lolly" but I could of sworn I read somewhere that he played on one of those albums.

Thanks 4 ur support wink

Never heard of this rumor but as far as I know, Prince wasn't involved in any of W&L's albums, and his remix of Lolly Lolly was indeed his only contribution to their discography. Princevault.com said the same last time I checked.
