LARRY GRAHAM & GRAHAM CENTRAL STATION currently on tour in Europe

Larry Graham & Graham Central Station are currently doing a club tour in Europe as appetizer for the upcoming new album that is now scheduled for release in September 2012 and features collaborations with Prince and Raphael Saadiq.

Last night the tour started with 2 shows at the Blue Note in Milan. It was the first time GCS performed in Italy, and based on the long queue of happy faces waiting to get an autograph from Larry after the shows, one can easily assume the Italian audience loved it. While the people attending the 9.00 PM show were more restraint, the people attending the 11.30 PM show were definitely the party crowd, getting up from their seats, dancing and clapping and that lead Larry perform an extra 20 minutes with many hits from his time with Sly & the Family Stone.

Last night Larry also brought a very special guest: the amazing saxophone and harmonica player Jimmy Z (http://www.ztribe.com/). Jimmy Z recorded and toured with Rod Stewart, the Eurythmics (Missionary Man!), Tom Petty and since the late 90's with Etta James. In the early 90's he released a solo album produced by Dr. Dre. Nowadays Jimmy Z performs/tours with "Sons of Etta: a Tribute to Etta James featuring Thelma Jones and Jimmy Z" (http://sonsofetta.com/; http://www.youtube.com/us...sults_main), as well as with the Scandinavian blues artist Slidin' Slim. Jimmy Z has always been a huge fan of Larry and last night was the first time they actually met. Without any rehearsal the crew just added two mics and Jimmy just did his thing. Amazing!

Tonight Larry Graham & GCS are doing two more shows at the Blue Note in Milan and then it's off to Prague and the Netherlands.

For more details and the latest updates, please check out www.larrygraham.com. Also, make sure you check out the funky cover they did of Maroon 5's "Moves like Jagger" for a Dutch radio show (that asks of all visiting artists to do an adapted version of a Top 40 hit), it's sooo funky!

Thanks for the info & review JohnBosley! As I said in another thread, I was so looking forward to catching the show in London in April! Alas the universe disagrees with my need to funk & I can't manage down for it at present. I cannot wait until the new GCS album drops & I'm sure everyone who attends these shows will have a really funktastic time cool
