Big fan of Cat Stevens here, so I think it's cool she covered one of his (best) songs. But her version is nothing mindblowing, imo. It's "ok". | |

I know it probably means nothing but she also posted a photo yesterday with the caption "lace and a stolen guitar" with her looking very Revolution-y (IMHO) and Prince's Earth tour Taylor acoustic. Just somewhere in the middle,

well, it's not really a mind-blowing song to begin with...simple and sweet. that's definitely prince playing the geetar, though. |

Its a nice rendition and that definitely sounds like P on the guitar

I took it as a hint that they may be together. Per Wikipedia Cat Stevens wrote that song for his young lover who was departing. Idk that's what I got from it. Also, probably a hint of music to come. It sounds like 2 guitars to me...her and P. I liked her version....but I hope the album is not all covers | |

I do find Andy's singing voice very pleasant it does have that indie singer songwriter quirky vibe to it. Prince on acoustic is always good to hear too. I have downloaded her UnFresh album and really like it. I'm not sure a Tamar/Bria Valente type full on Prince production would work with Andy, so if an acoustic album of Prince songs and other covers is the way they go (assuming there will be a release at some point) then that's fine by me Just somewhere in the middle,

This cover would be more interesting if Prince did it instead of having Andy sing this song. It's too hard for him to sing it. I doubt this cover will have an impact and photoshop is the only way we'll ever see her name up there in the middle of Times Square. | |

In Germany, for some strange reason, the pop radio stations always have the 'Mr. Big' cover version on heavy rotation.
This one is really a breath of fresh air. Prince's interpretation of the chords are, for lack of better words, fantastic! And-Why's vocal delivery is, for lack of better words, cute! IMHO!

Listen, there is no "per say" when it comes to sexuality. You either are or you aren't and if you aren't, it's not terribly funny to suggest you are. It'd be like me saying "I'm not black per say" - blacks would be offended by this. Trust me, I've been on the org a long time.
Anyway, shouldn't you dial down the crazy obsessiveness? Babies? Marriage? Leave it alone and make somethin' happen in your own life. Have your own babies, per say. | |
